My life

So I haven't posted in a loooooooong time. Things are really rather different now. Where to start. Well, I've gotten older. And thats something  I've been accepted to two colleges, and i'm going to be staying close-ish to home. I'm taking a Science Fiction and Fantasy lit. class annnd...so far I've read some of Frankenstein, and...i find it kinda disturbing, and, well, I'll attempt at explaining it.

Theres this guy, his name is Victor Frankenstein, he's pretty smart, really smart in fact. So smart, that he decides to try to create a living creature. He does and he doesn't like it after he's made it. Before now, his life has been pretty great, with the exception of his mother dying...but now, it turns rather ugly, by the end of the book, his little brother, wife, and friend have all been killed by the monster he created...I know I'm not being fair to the people who like the book, =) and I hope all of you who do like it would write a blog on why you like it

I'm also taking a fitness class, and that has been going well, I'm taking the class with my friend amanda, so that takes some pressure off the "getting to know people" thing. I hope to be considerably more fit by the end of class

Recently my family and I took a trip to Hawaii! It was really great, I learned how to surf, well, ok, not exactly, I paddled out and turned my board towards the shore, the instructor would push the board when a wave came, and then I would stand up! Thats...about the extent of my learning how to surf. But it was a great experience nonetheless. I ate shave ice, *YUM* while I was there, and it is so good. If you ever go to Hawaii, eat shave ice. I also ate monapua, which is basically a bun with meat stuffed inside. Thats really great too, but don't eat too much of it in a short amount of time, cuz you'll get sick of it. I also got to meet some elderly people =) My great-uncle Kiyoshi *isn't that an awesome name?* and my great-auntie sue, and my second-cousins *actually, they weren't elderly*! I also got to meet this GREAT couple, Helen and Norman, Helen is energetic, and Norman is concerned with everyone's salvation, they both love the Lord, and I suppose if you met them, you'd feel like they were your grandma and grandpa.  They took us to Sea Life Park, and we got to see dolphins and penguins and sea lions and big turtles!

My family has started having family devotions. Its great, =) I hope we'll all grow closer as a family because of it.

Life is different.

Oh hey, David actually was a philistine mercenary, i was wrong

oh and i can't believe it, tonight was my very last home volleyball game

we lost and it was SO CLOSE

SO CLOSE that i'm super disappointed, but then again, i'm ok....i guess that doesn't make sense. That phrase, "im super disappointed, but then again, i'm ok" sounds like a line from that Relient K song, "mood rings". Someone should buy me a mood ring...

Ok, so college homework isn't fun K, so some of it isn't bad. Learning bout Wester Civilization...apparently *according to the textbook* David was a Philistine mercenary. :-/ ooook. Well, "real" school starts on Tuesday. Neh, no biggie. I'll be glad to see everybody!

  Oh well...

Ahh, the joys of going through the car wash, eating beef jerkey, seeing the sunset through the windows of the car wash...ahh, the silliness of listening to dancing queen by abba and doing dance moves with my brother =P

This Saturday nights service was teriffic. They talked about temptations, and how God forgives even after you've asked for forgiveness, done the same sin, and asked for forgiveness again.

Well, I should get to my "college" homework soon. Adios for now.
